Autumn in 2nd Class

We embraced the theme of autumn by going on a nature walk in our locality and around the school grounds. We were able to identify different types of trees by the shapes of their leaves and their seeds. We collected different types and colours of leaves, helicopters, acorns and blackberries. 

When we returned to class we chose 5 items each to show our partners. It was cool to see what others found! We made leaf prints and painted some autumn squirrels too as part of our autumn learning.

We enjoyed creating some Squirrel drawings inspired by the autumn theme and had fun mixing colours to create autumnal tones for painting them.
