Perfectly Me!

A big welcome back was in order for the girls and boys in 2nd Class after the summer holidays. It was great to see everybody again. We began our first week back by reading the story 'Perfectly Norman.' Inspired by what we had read we discussed what makes each one of us unique and 'perfectly us,' we wrote a piece about our positive qualities, talents and interests and we designed our own wings inspired by the beautiful ones Norman had. We learned how wonderful it is that we are all unique and special and how the world is a much more interesting place because of our individualism. Take a look at our 'Perfectly Me' pieces below:

Hello Summer - Beach Scene Paintings

Given the sunny weather in May the 1 st and 2nd class children have been bringing the beach to life with their sand and sea  beach scene paintings. The children painted beautiful seaside landscapes and brought of sense of individualism to their work by adding in colourful flip-flops they each designed. They also added other items of interest such as beach balls, sandcastles, crabs etc.   These paintings are now proudly displayed in outside our classroom, spreading a bit of summer joy to everyone who walks by.

Penguin Art

Our penguins are waddling into winter. We experimented with mixing various shades of blue, purple and white to make the colours for our penguin backgrounds. We used black paper, white and orange paper to make our penguins and the snow and made cool scarves and hats for them.
