A Fun-Filled Easter Celebration with 1st and 2nd Class! 🐰🌸

This Easter, the children in 1st and 2nd class engaged in many egg-citing Easter themed activities.

The fun began with the creation of their very own Easter baskets. Each child decorated their basket with bright colours and then came the best part—filling their baskets with coloured straw, Easter chicks and little Easter designs created by themselves. Surprise additions of chocolate eggs and Easter marshmallows brought smiles to everyone's faces.

Next, it was time to get creative and make Easter bunny paintings! The children painted pastel backgrounds and designed adorable bunnies to the foreground of their art work. We think they turned out great!

The children put their creative minds to work and wrote Easter acrostic poems, where the first letter of each line spelled out "EASTER."

Finally, to wrap up our Easter theme, the children played an exciting round of Easter-themed Irish bingo. They had so much fun marking off the various words and pictures. It was a wonderful mix of learning and fun!

Christmas Jumper Day

The girls and boys looked very festive for a Christmas jumper day in aid of Galway Hospice. A great effort by everyone. Well done!

Carol Service Practice

1st and 2nd Class have been working so hard learning their Christmas carols for the upcoming Carol Service. They are really looking forward to performing their carols in the church. They should be so proud of themselves.  They will sing Mary's Boy Child, Mary and Following a Star!

Science Week

Great fun was had during Science Week in 1st and 2nd Class where the children made their own lava lamps, conducted the bouncy egg, the leak proof bag and magic milk experiments. The children worked very hard as scientists at home too and planned, conducted and recorded an experiment of their choosing which was screened in our classroom at the end of science week. We really enjoyed watching everyone's videos. Well done all!
