2D shapes

We enjoyed learning all about 2D shapes and their properties in a hands on fun way. We explored our school grounds and enjoyed working together on a 2D Shape Maths trail to see if we could spot the shapes we learned about. We had great fun using 2D shapes to make 2D shape monsters. Soil Experiment

We had great fun doing some outdoor learning in the sunshine. We worked in groups to collect a soil sample. We added water and waited patiently to see what would happen. We learned that soil is made up of lots of different materials and were amazed to see the different soil layers that settled in our jars. We even spotted some worms and a baby snail! It was very cool!

St Brigid's Crosses

Spring is here and we celebrated the feast of St Brigid by making St Brigid's crosses. We learned the story of St Brigid and sang Brigid's special song "We Sing a Song to Brigid."
